Day-Wise Detailed Itinerary
Delhi to Haridwar (approx. 230 km / 5-6 hrs drive)
After an early breakfast, set off on a comfortable drive to Haridwar. On arrival, check into your hotel and unwind. In the evening, head to the sacred Har-ki-Pauri ghat to witness the mesmerising Ganga Aarti, one of the most soul-stirring experiences on the Ganges. Overnight stay in Haridwar.
Haridwar to Joshimath (approx. 276 km / 8-9 hrs drive)
After breakfast, begin the scenic drive toward Joshimath, pausing en route at Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda meets the Bhagirathi and Mandakini rivers. Arrive at Joshimath, the gateway town to Badrinath and Hem Kund, and check into your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in Joshimath.
Joshimath to Auli (approx. 16 km / 2 hrs drive)
Drive up to Auli, or opt for the thrilling cable car ride, reputed to be one of the longest ropeway journeys in Asia, offering breathtaking valley views along the way. Check into your resort and spend the afternoon getting a feel for the ski slopes with guidance from the resort's instructors. Overnight stay in Auli.
Auli Skiing & Sightseeing Day
Spend a full day enjoying skiing on Auli's slopes, with equipment and beginner-friendly instruction available. Take in panoramic Himalayan views of Nanda Devi. Later, visit Gurso Bugyal for its lush meadows, the pristine Chattrakund Lake, and the Auli Artificial Lake, one of the highest man-made lakes in the world, used to generate artificial snow. Overnight stay in Auli.
Auli to Rishikesh (approx. 254 km / 7-8 hrs drive)
Begin the day with visits to the Narsingh Temple and Shankracharya Math before starting your drive to Rishikesh, the world's yoga capital. On arrival, check into your hotel and, if energy allows, explore the riverside town at your own pace. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.
Rishikesh Sightseeing & Drive Back to Delhi (approx. 230 km / 5-6 hrs drive)
Explore Rishikesh's landmarks including Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, the iconic hanging bridges over the Ganges, and Triveni Ghat, the sacred meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. Afterward, drive back to Delhi with a comfortable drop-off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey, bringing your Himalayan holiday to a close.
