The Leh Ladakh Bike Trip to Aryan Valley is a 4-day family-friendly ride crafted around some of Ladakh's most striking high-altitude landscapes. Over the four-day itinerary you will get to visit prominent tourist places across the region.
Ladakh is celebrated for sights such as Shey, Thiksey, Hemis, the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, the Magnetic Hill and Sangam confluence, the Hall of Fame, the Kali Mata temple, and the Shanti Stupa, among many other landmarks. Beyond Leh town, the ride heads out to the remote Aryan Valley belt, home to the Drokpa communities, before looping back through the dramatic passes of the region.
Day-Wise Detailed Itinerary
Arrival at Leh
Start the day with a scenic ride west to see the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, the Magnetic Point, and Sangam, the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. Follow the Indus past Khaltse to Achinathang, home to striking monolithic rock art, then continue on to Sanjak before arriving at Beema Lastyang. Check in at your riverside camp and settle in for a peaceful evening. Overnight stay at Camp.
Aryan Valley Village Exploration
Spend the full day exploring the Drokpa community and the villages of the Aryan Valley, including Hanu, Dah, Gorkun, and Beema. Enjoy a short hike toward Photang before returning to camp for an overnight stay.
Leh - Khardung La - Leh
After a hearty breakfast, ride out toward Batalik, one of the last points near the India-Pakistan border, then continue to Himbotingla Pass for sweeping views of the Suru Valley and Kargil. The route descends to a junction before climbing again along the Shashi La route, a steep stretch of nearly 500 metres that calls for careful riding. From Shashi La Pass you get striking views of the Suru Valley, the Pakistan border, the Kashmir valley, and the towering Nun and Kun peaks — a great spot for Himalayan panorama photos. Ride back down to Sanjak to rejoin the Leh-Beema road and return to camp for the night.
Drop to Leh Airport
After breakfast, ride back toward Leh with a stop at Alchi Monastery, roughly 1,000 years old and notably the only major monastery in Ladakh built on flat ground. You will then be dropped off at your hotel in Leh, ready for your onward journey home.
